Digital learning material

Hi there! I created a digital learning material for students of German language. The topic of the material is the German Passive. The material serves as a revision as well as to acquire a completely new material. It starts with somewhat easier tasks and it gets more complicated towards the end. This is a material primarly for such students, who are at least on an A2 level in German who would like to take a final exam or a language exam in German.

Before you watch it, there is a kahoot quiz that I created to serve as a jump-start, so you can recollect your former knowledge about the subject.

Last week, I had the opportunity to try out my digital material. (You can see the trace of it if you take a look at the padlet site). I'm teaching German at highschool in Budapest, where 9th and 10th grade students had these tasks to do. It turned out, that most of the students could manage and anquire them. Some of the students were already familiar with the topic, but they also had the opportunity to practise. In summary, the tasks worked well for them.

A foglalkozás témája
A tanulók megismerkedhetnek és/vagy átismételhetik a német szenvedő szerkezetet. A legegyszerűbb, jelen idős formájától kezdve a múlt idős passzív szerkezetek is megtalálhatók magyarázattal és gyakorlófeladatokkal ellátva. Ezt követően a módbeli segédigés passzív szerkezetet mutatja be a diasor, valamint ahhoz kapcsolódóan az aktív mondatokat kell passzívba átalakítani. Ennek azonban alapfeltétele, hogy a módbeli segédigéket/modális igéket, illetve az aktív mondat szerkezeit a tanuló megfelelően használni tudja.

A tanuló a tanegység végén tudni fogja, mire való a német szenvedő szerkezet, kellő odafigyeléssel, elegendő gyakorlás segítségével pedig elsajátíthatja annak használatát is. Szintjétől függően a legegyszerűbb passzív szerkezettől kezdve a bonyolultabb, Módbeli segédigés, múlt idejű passzív szerkezeteket is.

Hi there! I'm going to show you some visual aids for teaching. First of all, let me show you my conception map: https://mm.tt/1511799882?t=5jXVOVCNk8 The conception map I made helps students to get a systematic overview on nouns as a part of speech. I think, as these part of speech categories are difficult for the first time to understand - even in our mother tongue, and therefore a conceptual diagram could help to organise the knowledge about it, as it depicts the relationship between the concepts. I think it is a good way to stimulate ideas and creativity and for brain-storming. Furthermore, it enhances metacomprehension as students can suddenly start to learn and think about their existing knowledge.
